Medicaid Eligibility Rules are Changing

In 2027, some Nevada Medicaid members will need to work, volunteer, or go to school
to keep their health coverage. New rules take effect January 1, 2027.
Some people will not have to meet the new requirements, including:

● People 65+
● Parents of children under 14
● People with a disability
● Pregnant people
● People with serious physical or mental health conditions
● American Indians & Alaska Natives

Take these important steps right now on the Nevada Medicaid website to prepare for
the changes and keep your coverage.

1. Update your contact information: This helps ensure Nevada Medicaid can contact you with important eligibility information when it’s time to renew your coverage.
2. Find out if new requirements apply to you: The Nevada Medicaid website has a list of exemptions.
3. Learn the new rules: Know what will be required from you if you are affected.
4. Check your Medicaid renewal date: If you are affected, on your renewal date, you will need to show that you have met the work/volunteer/school requirements during your review period. Do not wait until your renewal date to act.
